Specialists of the analytical company IDC prepared a report for the second quarter of 2020 relating to the Chinese market of portable electronic devices.
IDC estimates that 26.58 million portable electronic devices were sold in China during the quarter, which is 4.1% more in annual terms. At the same time, shipments of basic portable devices (portable devices that do not support third-party applications) reached 22.24 million pieces, an increase of 6.1% over the year, and shipments of smart portable devices amounted to 4.35 million pieces, being 4.9% less in annual terms.
The market leader is Huawei company, whose share for the year increased from 20.9% to 29.2%. Xiaomi is in second place. Its annual share decreased from 24.4% to 21.3%. More details about the market distribution can be found in the table:
