Chinese company Oppo has officially announced its intention to release smart Oppo Watch ECG to the international market. As it is easy to guess, the ECG means that this watch differs from the basic model in that it supports ECG function (electrocardiogram).
It should be noted that the ECG removal function was already expected in the original Oppo Watch. The presence of the appropriate sensor was confirmed by several reputable informants before the device was announced. However, even in China was released a version of the watch without its support.
Apparently, the problem was in obtaining the appropriate certificates. Now, in addition to announcing the international launch of Oppo Watch ECG, the company also noted that the watch was certified as a Class 2 medical device by the Chinese regulator.
Please note that unlike the Chinese version, the international Oppo Watch does not use ColorOS Watch, but Wear OS from Google. In addition, instead of single-crystal system Snapdragon Wear 2500, it uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 3100. Another difference is that the clock has lost support for eSIM.
