The experts of the iFixit portal decided to evaluate how realistic it would be to repair an Apple watch in case it fails. It turned out that Apple Watch is one of the most repairable devices in the range of Cupertin’s giant, despite the fact that the design of the watch is very complex.
Starting from the third generation, all models received 6 out of 10 points for their repairability from iFixit specialists, and the new model – Series 6 – was no exception. At the same time, the disassembly process became even easier compared to the previous generation, because, firstly, the Force Touch layer disappeared and the number of cables decreased, although the final score was not affected.
In addition, Apple has once again slightly increased its battery capacity from 1.129 to 1.17 Wh for the 44mm version. The 40mm version’s battery capacity has increased by 8.5 percent. That’s a bit, but better than nothing. Another change inside is the enlarged Taptic Engine vibromotor unit.
