Garmin company presented new smart watches Venu Sq. They can be considered as a competitor to the new relatively inexpensive smart Apple Watch SE.
For comparison, the original Garmin Venu watches were seen as a competitor to last year’s Apple Watch Series 5. The design of Garmin Venu Sq has been updated and the watch looks like a clone of Apple Watch. The smart watch has received the rectangular form instead of the former round, became lighter and more compact, the case frame became aluminum instead of steel.
The novelty is offered in two versions – basic Venu Sq for 200 dollars and Venu Sq Music Edition for 250 dollars.
The smart watch is equipped with a 1.3-inch AMOLED screen resolution of 240 x 240 pixels, for protection is used Gorilla Glass 3. It supports monitoring of heart rate, sleep parameters, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), menstrual cycle, water balance, stress level.
According to the manufacturer, the watch is suitable for walking, running, yoga, swimming (waterproof 5ATM), cycling and other sports – the watch includes more than 20 preloaded modes for indoor and outdoor activities. There is NFC and support for Garmin Pay payment system.
The battery life is 6 days in clock mode and 14 hours with GPS enabled. Venu Sq Music Edition model is complemented by the ability to save music directly on the clock and listen to it without a smartphone.
