If Nvidia got rid of USB-C (VirtualLink) port in its GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards, AMD, judging by the latest data, goes the reverse way. The source writes that the new version of AMD graphics drivers for Linux mentions the USB-C interface. In the same version of the driver includes a video card codenamed Sienna Cichlid – it is attributed to one of the models with a GPU Navi 21 (Big Navi).
The VirtualLink interface in Nvidia RTX 20 graphics cards is designed for connecting virtual reality helmets. However, due to the fact that they have not been properly distributed, such a port has disappeared. At the same time USB-C graphics cards can be used for other purposes as well. For example, you can connect peripherals or monitors. This is convenient. And it is likely that AMD Radeon RX 6000 will provide such convenience.
