We’ve already seen the results of the GeForce RTX 3090 tests, which are impressive, but at the same time show that most users do not make any sense to overpay for more than double the 10% increase. However, if you overpay even more, you can get a well overclocked version, and then the growth will approach 20%. The GPU of such an adapter will run at a frequency close to 2 GHz. But what about over 2.5 GHz?
The famous Kingpin overclocker (K|NGP|N) set a new record in 3DMark Port Royal using EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Kingpin, whose core was accelerated to 2.58 GHz! This is more than one and a half times higher than the reference value. Memory was accelerated by 10%, to 21.5 GHz. Of course, all this was cooled down by liquid nitrogen.
The video card under test finally scored 16,673 points, which is a record for this benchmark. For comparison, a normal RTX 3080 scores about 11,000 points in this test.
