Nvidia announced today that the GeForce RTX 3070 will enter the market later than originally thought. Instead of October 15, the sales launch has been moved to October 29, supposedly to increase card inventory.
The company also released the first chart showing the performance of the RTX 3070 relative to its direct predecessor, the RTX 2070, as well as the flagship of the previous generation, the RTX 2080 Ti.
The Videocardz resource tried to convert these data into numbers, and it turned out to be quite curious.
That is, in games the novelty is faster than RTX 2070 by a value from 47% to 82%, but in general Nvidia speaks about the 60% advantage. As to opposition RTX 3070 and RTX 2080 Ti, here at cards parity if we speak about games while in appendices the new card sometimes is 15-20 % faster than the old one. Considering the huge difference in starting price, it is very impressive.
