Dangbei officially introduced its first 4K projector, which was named Dangbei K1. The projector is already available for pre-order at $1025.
The Dangbei K1 lens consists of 9 glass lenses. The coating of the lenses with low dispersion allows to preserve the original color, making the projected 4K image closer to the original color conceived by the authors of films.
It also supports an extended dynamic HDR+ range. The manufacturer claims that the color accuracy of the Dangbei K1 projector is as good as that of expensive 4K projectors (accurate values are not reported). The brightness of the Dangbei K1 projector reaches 1850 ANSI lumens.
The projector has MEMC dynamic motion compensation technology, which makes the picture smoother. There is an automatic focus system. The projector is equipped with MStar6A848 processor, as well as 3 GB of operative and 64 GB of flash memory.
In addition, the Dangbei K1 is equipped with two stereo speakers for high-quality stereo sound. The available projecting diagonals and distances as well as connectors are not yet specified.
The Dangbei K1 is already on sale in China. It is expected to appear in European and American countries within a month.
