The Vivaldi Browser team has announced the release of a major Vivaldi 3.3 browser update. The developers have made significant work on security and privacy, added several unique features and redesigned the Express panel.
As a key highlight of the update developers consider the button “break from the Internet”. (Break Mode). The button is located in the bottom left corner of the browser window. When you click on it, all content disappears from the screen and all media files stop playing. Clicking again allows you to return to work.
A new way of URL displaying is now implemented in the address bar – the main domain is marked with a brighter font, which will allow to avoid fraud traps more easily. The browser will also warn the user if the whole address bar is not fully visible. To select a part of the address and navigate it, just hover the mouse cursor over the URL in the address bar holding down the Ctrl key.
The developers have added a new default theme for the private window. The user can also select any other theme for a private window and edit it.
Built-in advertising and tracking blocker now supports blocking the entire page. In addition, the new version of the browser now allows you to move the bookmarks of Express panels to folders.
Vivaldi is developed by Opera Software founder Jon von Tetzchner and the browser is considered to be an heir to older versions of Opera.
