In the newest version of Google Chrome browser the new tab grouping feature is now activated by default for all users.
Google announced it in May with the release of a stable version of Chrome 83 for desktops. At that time it was announced that the feature has just begun to spread, will be implemented gradually and may not appear immediately and for all. With the new version of Chrome 85.0.4183.102, it is finally included with all browser users in the computer version.
This innovation makes life easier for users who like to open tabs in large quantities. The feature allows you to group tabs, give groups names and mark them with different colors. All this is done with a simple right-click.
As for the mobile version of Chrome, Google has not yet announced plans to implement tab grouping in the browser for Android or iOS.
