The value of data is growing and this value stimulates the market for Advanced Internet Things Analysis (IoT), resulting in affordable and ready-to-use solutions for machine learning and artificial intelligence. Vendors are simplifying access to machine learning and artificial intelligence tools with new deployment options that include not only peripheral, local and cloud-based options, but also platform as a service (PaaS) and software as a service (SaaS).
This observation was made by experts of the consulting company ABI Research, which predicts that the market for machine learning services and artificial intelligence for the Internet of things will increase from $ 1.09 billion in 2020 to 10.6 billion in 2026.
Peripheral or edge variant (as opposed to cloud variant) is more common in production and industrial segments, where there is an urgent need to assess, transform and supplement data as it is created. At the same time, machine learning and artificial intelligence systems allow for advanced analytics in the cloud based on pre-processed and organized data sets.
Experts include Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Google, SAS and C3.ai, which offer support for both in-house and third-party tools.
