Apple released its new mobile operating systems iOS 14 and iPadOS 14, just a couple of weeks ago. However, this time was enough for users to find an unpleasant failure.
iOS 14 and the iPadOS 14 have a new feature – you can choose a third-party application as a mail client or a default browser. However, it only works until the first reboot. As users complain, the settings are reset and Apple applications are installed by default every time the device reboots.
You can choose Chrome, Edge, DuckDuckGo and Firefox instead of Safari as the default browser, and Spark and Microsoft Outlook instead of “Mail”. And it will work until your iPhone or iPad reboots.
Apple has not yet responded to the problem in any way, but it is very likely that it will be fixed in the next update.
It should be noted that many developers criticized Apple for its hasty release of iOS 14 and iPadOS 14, and also recommended users not to rush to install the update.
