Microsoft releases 2nd major update of Windows 10 in one year

Following the strategy of two major updates of Windows 10 per year, Microsoft has prepared the second largest update of its operating system this year – it is called Windows 10 October 2020 Update (or 2H20) and is already available as a stable version in the Windows Insider channel. The final public version of the update, as the name implies, will be released in late October.

In contrast to the first major update of Windows 10 this year – May – in the October version will be a minimum of new features (of the most important and interesting – the updated Start menu), instead the company preferred to focus on fixing various bugs and bugs.

This, by the way, will be displayed in the designation: after installing Windows 10 October 2020 Update version of Windows 10 will not change (still will be 2004), only the build number will change – from 19041.xxx to 19042.xxx.
