The new Realme UI 2.0 shell based on Android 11 is very similar to an improved copy of ColorOS 11

At the event dedicated to the launch of the Narzo 20 series in India, the company Realme also officially introduced the branded shell Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11. As expected, this is a slightly modified version of ColorOS 11 for smartphones Oppo. Unfortunately, in contrast to Oppo, Realme has not disclosed the list of supported devices and update schedule.

Last week Oppo held a special event dedicated to the launch of ColorOS 11. Realme UI 2.0 is almost a complete copy of ColorOS 11 except for some minor changes. That’s why the presentation was very short. It should be noted that the connection between Realme UI and ColorOS reminds a tandem of Magic UI and EMUI – in fact, it is the same firmware for Honor and Huawei smartphones respectively. So it’s enough to refer to our announcement ColorOS 11 to learn about the features of Realme UI 2.0. We also had a separate note about Realme UI 2.0.

You can also recall that until last year Realme phones were running ColorOS out of the box. But with the release of Android 10 brand changed the strategy and created its own branded shell Realme UI.

At today’s event, the company named more or less specific release dates only for its flagship smartphone Realme X50 Pro. Closed beta version for this phone will be available from September 24, in late October will follow an open beta test, and the final version will be released in late November.
