If you own a Tesla Model Y Dual Motor AWD, you can improve the acceleration setting with a software update. It’s not free, though. The new update, called Acceleration Boost, is available for installation for 2 thousand dollars.
The Tesla Model Y can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour (approximately 96 km/h) in 4.8 seconds. As stated in the description of the update, after installation, this time will be reduced to 4.3 seconds.
In addition to payment, the installation requires that the car uses the firmware number 2020.36. Last year Tesla released a similar paid upgrade for owners of electric Model 3 cars.
