Microsoft has recently seemed to forget about Windows 10 for Arm processors. But, according to rumors, today will be presented Surface Pro X2 tablet with the appropriate platform, so the fresh statement from Microsoft is probably due to this announcement.
So, Microsoft will finally add to Windows 10 Arm emulation of x64 applications. Now this operating system has an emulation of 32-bit software, but many modern programs no longer exist in this form. Support for 64-bit software will allow Always Connected PC laptops and tablets to become much more versatile and interesting for users. And considering Apple’s transition to Arm, it is more relevant than ever.
Implementation of 64-bit application emulation will begin in November. Windows Insider Program participants will be the first to try it out.
