Microsoft has finally started to distribute an update to the Windows 10 operating system, which fixes the problem with Internet connection, both wired and via Wi-Fi.
Users have been complaining about connection problems and quality of communication for several months now. Many applications do not work and go offline because of this failure, including Spotify, Cortana, Microsoft Store and others.
The system failure is caused by an incorrectly working network connection status indicator, which is displayed in the notification area or taskbar. It may appear even if there is actually nothing wrong with the connection. In July, Microsoft recognized its existence in Windows 10 (2004 or May 2020 Update).
However, similar problems appeared not only in 2004, but also in Windows 10 1909, released in the fall of 2019, and earlier versions with the release of recent scheduled OS updates.
Now users with this problem can get rid of it by downloading and installing the Windows 10 19041.546 build, which is now available in the optional updates section.
