A couple of weeks ago, LG introduced a modification of the Velvet smartphone based on SoC MediaTek Dimensity 1000C, a cutback version of the company’s flagship platform. Interestingly, this modification was created specifically for the U.S. market.
And today the first tests of LG novelty appeared on the Web. In Geekbench 5 smartphone scored 601 and 2365 points in single and multithreaded modes, respectively. For comparison, the Dimensity 1000 + scores in the same test of about 800 and 3100 points, respectively.
However, the performance of Snapdragon 765G, on which the original version of Velvet is based, is still somewhat lower: about 600 and 1800 points. Thus, at least in terms of processor performance, the LG flagship version based on the MediaTek platform is faster. What will be in the games, will show the appropriate tests.
