As it became known, the Samsung Galaxy A50 was the first smartphone, which received a security system update for Android from October 2020. The update is currently being distributed for smartphones with the model number SM-A505FN.
Samsung Galaxy A50 debuted in early 2019 with the shell of One UI based on the Android 9 Pie operating system. Later it was updated to the One UI 2.0 based on Android 10. Like most budget phones Samsung, the Galaxy A50 is entitled to quarterly security updates. However, the Galaxy 50, which will soon be two years old, the first on the market received the latest update of Android.
Firmware version number A505FNXXS5BTI9 has the size of 123 MB. In the log of changes says only about improving the security of the device.
