Currently, only Samsung, Huawei, Motorola and Royole are producing smartphones that are equipped with folding screens. However, many companies will soon enter this market, too. One of them should become Oppo, images of a bending smartphone which was found in a fresh patent.
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo is known for its SuperVOOC fast charging technology and other innovations. Sources say it’s not just a concept. The manufacturer is indeed developing such a smartphone. It is already known that two parts of the smartphone can be fixed at angles of 30, 60, 90 and 190 degrees.
This patent was filed by Oppo with the World Intellectual Property Organization in February, but was approved and published only on September 3. Our colleagues at LetsGoDigital used the patent images to create a quality three-dimensional model of the smartphone.
The main focus of this patent was on the swivel mechanism, which allows you to fix two parts of the smartphone at angles of 30, 60, 90 and 190 degrees.
Separately, the document says that this swivel mechanism will allow Oppo to create a smartphone, the flexible screen which will not have folds, as in already released phones.
