Hisense company recently introduced seven new models of smart TVs under the Toshiba brand, which are offered at prices ranging from 175 to 910 dollars. First of all they go on sale in India, and the first buyers of 4K models receive a 4-year warranty from the manufacturer.
The TVs operate under the branded Vidaa Smart TV operating system and have Alexa voice assistant support. They also come with pre-installed applications such as YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video and others.
The younger Toshiba L50 series includes a 32L5050 model with a 32-inch HD display, and a 43L5050 model with a 43-inch FHD display. Both use ADS panels. Both models have support for DBX-TV and Dolby Audio, the 43-inch version comes with 24W speakers compared to the 20W speakers in the younger version. The TVs have two HDMI connectors and two USB connectors each. The prices are 176 and 339 dollars respectively.
Toshiba U50 includes three models: 43U5050 (43 inches), 50U5050 (50 inches) and 55U5050 (55 inches) for $380, 448 and 502 dollars. All models have 4K resolution, including CEVO 4K HDR Engine, support for content scaling up to 4K and extended dynamic range (HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision), Ultra Dimming technology, AMR+ technology, Super Contrast Booster, Color Re-master, Dolby Atmos. Also includes dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3 x HDMI, 2 x USB, 30W speakers in versions with a diagonal of 50 and 55 inches and 24 W for 43-inch model.
The Toshiba U79 Series consists of 55U7980 (55 inches) and 65U7980 (65 inches), which are available at $638 and $910 respectively. They additionally received the technology of local dimming Full Array, brightness 700 cd/m2, improved color gamut, MEMC technology and Color Re-master PRO. They received 24-watt speakers and 4 HDMI ports.
At the end of the year, Toshiba U80 TVs with QLED panels will be released.
