German automotive company Audi AG, part of the Volkswagen Group and specializing in the production of cars under the Audi brand, is negotiating with its longstanding partner, the Chinese company FAW Group, to create a second joint venture. This joint venture will produce electric cars in China on the PPE platform developed by the German concern.
Audi and FAW already have a joint venture. It manufactures cars with internal combustion engines at facilities located in the north-east and south of China – in Changchun and Foshan cities respectively.
Unfortunately, no details about the new joint venture are available yet.
