At the Beijing Motor Show, Polestar, a brand of all-electric cars created by Geely and Volvo, announced that the concept model Precept will be launched into mass production.
Unfortunately, neither the release date of the new product nor its technical specifications are reported, but the official Percept images have long been available. And the electric car looks cool – brighter than Tesla Model 3/5 and not worse than Lucid Air.
Percept production will be set up in China on a new carbon-neutral production line. This electric car will obviously be more expensive than the Polestar 2 sedan (from $61,000 in the U.S.), but the capacity should also grow: the current 402 hp. The Polestar 2 is nothing compared to 1000-1100 hp. Tesla Model S Plaid and Lucid Air. In addition, Percept is claimed to be a luxury car with a “vegan interior with lots of recycled materials”.
The interior of the car will have two screens – 9-inch in the dashboard and 15-inch for the functions of entertainment and information system. There will be a driver assistance system (Advanced Driver Assistance System) with a large number of different sensors and lidar, and much more.
