It turned out that last week, during the Tesla Battery Day event and the meeting with investors, the company’s Board of Directors held a regular meeting. One of the agendas was the election of the General Director and the Chairman of the Board.
Judging by the documents sent by Tesla to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, both the current head of the company, Ilon Musk, and the Chairman of the Board, Robin Deholm, have retained their positions. Ilon Musk, we recall, became the head of Tesla back in 2004, and since then has experienced more than one re-election, the last time – in 2017. Robin Dholm joined the Board of Directors in 2014. He replaced Ilona Mask as Chairman in 2018 after a scandal with the latter’s statement about his desire to make Tesla a private company and the subsequent reaction of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission: she punished the mask with a fine of $ 20 million and an order to leave the post of head of the Board.
