Tesla broke its own record

Tesla reported on its success in the third quarter of 2020. In the period from July to September, the carmaker made a record delivery volume. Car sales for the quarter amounted to 139 thousand units!

Total deliveries for the quarter amounted to 139 300 electric cars. It is by 45% more than in the same period last year and by 53% more than in the second quarter. Last quarter’s record of Tesla was 112 thousand cars. It was set in the fourth quarter of 2019.

To be more precise, 15,200 Model S and X cars were sold, while 124,100 were sold for Model 3 and Model Y. There were 145,036 vehicles manufactured during the quarter – 16,992 Model S/X and 128,044 Model 3/Y.

Telsa planned to supply 500 thousand cars in 2020. According to the results of Q3 this plan was fulfilled for 318 thousand cars.
