Swedish-Chinese car maker Polestar, owned by Volvo Car and Geely, has announced the complete recall of its electric car Polestar 2. This was announced by the Swedish newspaper Dagens Industri.
Withdrawn all sold Polestar 2 sedans, about 2,200 pieces, due to a deadly software failure – the car has lost power. And this can happen even while the car is moving. The electric car simply shuts down, stops abruptly, and then it cannot be started.
Fortunately, the failure didn’t cause any accidents and no one was hurt. The malfunction was reported by several Polestar 2 owners.
The company started producing Polestar 2 in 2020 in China and sells it in several regions, including China and the USA. About 600 cars were sold in Sweden.
