Early next year AMD should release Ryzen 5000U mobile processors on Zen 3 architecture. According to some data, this line will actually consist of two: processors Cezanne and processors Renoir Refresh or Lucienne.
The first will be those new APUs with Zen 3 architecture, but the second is called Renoir Refresh for a reason. These will be the updated APUs of the current generation on the current architecture Zen 2.
Why do I need this separation? It is believed that the Renoir Refresh or Lucienne APUs are intended exclusively for Google and its hrombukes. Given the recent announcement of AMD, this option is quite believable.
It is more difficult to believe in another theory, according to which, Cezanne and Renoir Refresh will simply exist side by side in one line. For example, Ryzen 7 5800U will belong to the Cezanne family, and Ryzen 7 5700U – to Renoir Refresh. But it looks very strange, so it is unlikely that AMD will implement such an approach for any reason.
