Last week the Ashes of the Singularity (AOTS) benchmarking base confirmed the existence of a mobile hybrid processor AMD Ryzen 7 5700U, and now in AOTS shone a promising desktop eight-core Ryzen 7 5800X.
Alas, no characteristics of the novelty are reported, except for the number of cores (8) and threads (16). The results of the benchmarking are presented below, but they are difficult to evaluate due to the fact that a pre-production CPU sample was most likely tested.
Perhaps the most important thing in this leak, in addition to actually confirming the real existence of Ryzen 7 5800X – confirmation of the designation of the new line. Ryzen 5000 in nomenclature plan seriously distances itself from the Ryzen 3000, users will find it easier to navigate in all current CPUs and APUs AMD.
The lineup, in addition to 8-core Ryzen 7 5800X, will include 12-core Ryzen 9 5900X. And, you should think that there will also be a flagship 16-core Ryzen 9 5950X. All of them will be built on the architecture of Zen3, which, like the processors based on it, AMD will open very soon – in mid-October.
