The Ryzen 5000 processors are only a week away from the announcement, so more and more data about these products appears on the web. So, today we can evaluate the performance of Ryzen 9 5900X in CPU-Z benchmark.
To be more precise, there is no direct indication that this is the Ryzen 9 5900X, but the catalog code hints at this particular CPU, and the result indirectly confirms it.
So, the novelty scored 652.8 and 9481.8 points in single-threaded and multi-threaded modes respectively. And this is 20.3% and 14.4% more than the Ryzen 9 3900X, respectively. Even if the result is not increased for the serial models, it is still quite impressive, given the constant number of cores.
Recall that the latest rumors indicate that the first new generation CPUs will be available on October 20, but there can only be two models: Ryzen 9 5900X and Ryzen 7 5800X.
