New details about Tiger Lake-H processors are now online – they will complement the Tiger Lake-U series for standard notebooks and are designed for use in high-performance mobile PCs and workstations.
There are two Tiger Lake-H variants: quad-core with TDP 35W and eight-core with TDP 45W. The number of streams is eight and sixteen, respectively. Thus integrated graphic processors in these CPUs will receive no more than 32 executive blocks that will not prevent them from providing video decoding 8K with frequency 60 k/s. Taking into account specificity of Tiger Lake-H, it is more and it is not necessary to them: high-performance laptops without powerful discrete GPUs do not happen.
The CPU will be manufactured using the 10 nm process, while the PCH will be manufactured using the 14-nanometer process. The Tiger Lake-H microarchitecture is already known to Willow Cove. CPUs will provide support for DDR4-3200 MHz RAM up to 128 GB and 20 PCIe Gen4 lines. Support for another 24 lines of PCI 3.0 will provide PCH.
