Microsoft Notebooks with 12″ screen and 64GB eMMC. Why? Who will buy it?

Despite the fact that Microsoft Surface laptops are not officially sold in many countries, they have gained a certain popularity. However, the problem with these notebooks is not only their limited availability, but also the prices for most models.

According to the source, the success of the inexpensive model Surface Go has pushed Microsoft to create another far from being the most expensive mobile PC. Its name is not yet known, but the code name is Sparti. This notebook will receive a 12.5-inch display, tenth-generation Intel Core i5 processor, 4 GB of RAM and a 64 GB drive, while the cost of the notebook will be $500-600.

In this case, there is only a big question about a tiny drive – such a size is not only insufficient, but there is also the assumption that it will not be SSD, but eMMC flash memory, and it is slow.

The source adds that the laptop is not expected to be compromised in terms of case materials and build quality. If Microsoft offers such a model, it may well become quite popular – the same Apple has nothing in this price category yet.
