Almost immediately after the announcement of the new iPad Air, Logitech announced the release of its new Logitech Folio Touch accessory. Like Folio Touch for iPad Pro, the iPad Air version includes a large backlit keyboard with backlit keys and, most importantly, a trackpad that supports gestures included with the iPadOS.
Folio Touch, which costs $160, is available as an alternative to the Magic Keyboard, which Apple also offers for iPad Air. The Folio Touch keyboard case is covered with a soft grey cloth. It connects via the iPad Air’s Smart Connector, so there’s no need to charge it.
The Folio Touch for iPad Air looks identical to the Folio Touch for iPad Pro except for the reduced cutout for the camera, the cutout for the power button with Touch ID, and the size.
Logitech plans to start selling Folio Touch for iPad Air in October-November 2020. It will be available at Logitech’s website and Apple’s online store.
