Huawei, a famous Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, plans to release a curved game monitor in the near future. The company and its subsidiary brand Honor have already released smart TVs in the past, and now they also plan to enter the gaming market, as reported by knowledgeable sources.
According to DigiTimes information, Huawei is preparing to launch its own line of monitors, in particular curved game monitors. This step will allow the company to compete with another well-known Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi, which has also recently entered the gaming monitor market.
Sources that are familiar with the issue confirm that Huawei will order the production of monitors from BOE Vison-Electronic Technology (BOEVT) and TPV Technology. Initially, they plan to produce 2-3 models with 27 and 34 inches diagonals. The initial batch will exceed one million units.
Recall that earlier the company entered the desktop PC market with the introduction of Qingyun W510 workstation based on the Kunpeng 920 processor, which complemented the Radeon 520 and 8/512 GB of memory.
