Remote gaming on Xbox became available to all Android users

Microsoft has released a new version of the mobile application Xbox for devices based on the Android operating system, which brings the ability to play remotely on the console.

So, the main innovation was the ability to stream games to the smartphone or tablet from the Xbox One console, and in the future – and with the Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S. Until now, only Xbox Insiders members have access to the feature.

Unlike the service xCloud, where games are streamed from the cloud, the application allows you to play games that the user has downloaded to his console. To use streaming through the Xbox application does not require a subscription Xbox Game Pass.

The updated app also allows you to set up new consoles and games in the queue, view and send game clips and screenshots, as well as organize a team chat with friends on different devices.

The Xbox application is still in beta status and supports devices based on Android 6.0 and above. It is available for free download from Google Play.
