Hidden threat of iOS 14. This firmware permanently removes Fortnite from your phone!

If you are an iOS user and a fan of the Fortnite multiplayer online game, you should refrain from upgrading your smartphone to iOS 14.

Recall that at the moment Epic Games and Apple are finding out the relationship in court after the first introduced its own payment system for game content bypassing the rules of the App Store, and the second removed Fortnite from its brand store. As a result, iPhone users can no longer download the game Fortnite from the App Store. But this is not the end of the story. Developers have confirmed that updating to iOS 14 may lead to the removal of already installed Fortnite.

If you see a message asking to temporarily remove applications to install the software update (Temporarily Remove Apps to Install the Software Update?), you should not agree. Since Fortnite will be the first application to be removed, but not temporarily, but forever.

Apple gives users the option of temporarily uninstalling applications to make room for iOS updates. However, if Fortnite is removed from the iPhone, the game cannot be reinstalled. The official recommendation from the developers is to first click “Cancel” and then go to “Settings”>”General”>”iPhone Storage” to free up space manually.

The other day, Epic filed a new petition for a preliminary injunction against Apple. In the document, Epic points to “a clear lie to which Apple adheres to put Epic in a bad light.
