Google decided not to develop a children’s application with more than 10 million installations

Google decided to close its next brainchild. This time, we are talking about an experimental children’s application Rivet, which proved to be very popular.

The application was launched in 2018 in beta version in the incubator Area 120 for experimental projects, and in May 2019 it went out of beta on platforms for iOS and Android.

Google decided not to develop a children's application with more than 10 million installations

The popularity of the application cannot be questioned – the number of its installations has exceeded 10 million and the number of estimates exceeds 40 thousand.

As Google announced, mobile and web applications will be closed on October 16, 2020. All user data will be deleted on November 13. It is only comforting that Rivet is waiting for the “rebirth” of the coming winter within the project of Google Assistant.
