The team of the popular Telegram messenger has announced the release of a major update. Telegram 7.1 now has search filters, as well as the ability to administer groups anonymously, leave comments on publications in channels and much more.
It is now more convenient to search in the messenger. The user can view the search results on individual tabs “Media”, “Links”, “Files”, etc. You can limit the range of dates, just write in the search bar on August 14 or yesterday. You can search in a similar way by messages from a certain user, group, channel or bot. Filters by message type, date and source can be superimposed on each other.
If you enable anonymity in the list of group administrator rights, this administrator will be hidden from the list of participants. His chat messages will be published on behalf of the group, as is the case with channels.
The function of comments on publications in channels has also moved out of the beta stage. If you have a discussion group attached to a channel, a new button will appear under each publication to go to comments. You can enable comments for your channel in the channel settings in the “Discussion” section.
Comments on each publication are shown separately, but they can also be viewed through the discussion group. If a user is not among the members of a group linked to the channel, he will be notified about the answers to his comments through a special “Answers” chat.
In the Android application there is a new smooth animation for the keyboard and switching between day and night theme. In addition, new pop-up alerts have been added, for example, when deleting messages, changing the notification settings for chat rooms or saving multimedia.
In group chats, you can view an enlarged photo of a participant by pinching its thumbnail. And those who use multiple accounts in one application can now quickly view other chat lists by clicking the switch.
In addition, there are new animated emojis.
