Google has solved the problem with iOS 14 and the YouTube video service. Now the “Picture-in-picture” function on YouTube mobile site has started working correctly even without a paid subscription.
On September 16, Apple released a new version of its mobile operating system iOS 14 for iPhone. One of the innovations is the Picture-in-picture (PiP) function. However, the innovation worked with the site YouTube paid YouTube Premium subscription users, and without a paid subscription users complained about blocking the function PiP.
The YouTube web version now works correctly with Safari on iPhone in Picture-in-Picture mode without having to pay for a YouTube Premium subscription.
Google hasn’t announced anything about this, but users confirm that the problem has disappeared.
