Adata announced the release of XPG Gammix S50 Lite SSDs in sizes M.2-2280 with PCIe Gen4 x4 interface.
The drive uses the SMI SM2267 controller. Using the Gen4 x4 PCIe interface and NVMe 1.4 protocol, the drives achieve sequential read speeds of up to 3900MB/s, sequential write speeds of up to 3200MB/s, random access read performance of up to 490,000 IOPS, and random access write performance of up to 540,000 IOPS. Dynamic SLC Caching and Host Memory Buffer technologies are used to improve speed.
This data drives are available in 1TB and 2TB capacities and are backed by a five-year warranty. It is expected that sales of these SSDs will start this year already. Alas, the prices for this device are not yet known.
