A Korean source has published performance data for some new Samsung single crystal platform. Judging by the results, which are impressive, tested the flagship Exynos 1000. The platform scored 1302 points in a single thread test and 4250 points in a multithreaded test.
For comparison, the results of Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 – 1159 and 4090 points respectively. That is, SoC Samsung at this stage bypasses its competitor, but what the results will show the commercial versions of these platforms – it is still unclear. Usually, SoC Qualcomm noticeably “improve” in performance as the official premiere is approaching.
It is rumored that both Exynos 10000 and Snapdragon 875 will receive at least one high-performance Arm Cortex-X1 core. However, these kernels can be heavily modified by developers, so the presence of Cortex-X1 does not guarantee the same performance in resource-intensive applications, games and benchmarks.
