Qualcomm has strengthened its line of single crystal systems with support for 5G with a new medium level model – the Snapdragon 750G. The novelty received a modem 5G Snapdragon X52 – the same is used in the senior Snapdragon 765G. But what is more interesting, judging by the installed components and statements of Qualcomm itself, Snapdragon 750G can even bypass the Snapdragon 765G in performance.
The point is that Snapdragon 750G uses 2.2 GHz Kryo 570 kernels versus 2.4 GHz Kryo 475 as part of Snapdragon 765G. In fact, both SoCs use productive ARM Cortex-A77 cores and energy efficient Cortex A-55. Qualcomm assures that the performance of the novelty is 20% higher than the Snapdragon 730G, but in fact Snapdragon 765G not far from the Snapdragon 730G in terms of performance. So the new platform may even be able to bypass the Snapdragon 765G, or at least demonstrate the same performance.
Also in configuration Snapdragon 750G GPU Adreno 619 (Snapdragon 765G – Adreno 620) and Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 adapters. The platform supports Full HD+ screens with 120 Hz frame rate, QuickCharge 4+ technology, up to 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM at 2133 MHz and 4K HDR10 video recording.
Qualcomm promised finished devices based on Snapdragon 750G by the end of the year, but the first smartphone on this platform will release Xiaomi.
