The MonsterLabo company, specializing in passive cooling PC cases, announced the model The Beast. This case size 450 x 380 x 210 mm is designed for board sizes up to ATX. It also accommodates expansion cards up to 290 mm in length, up to four 3.5-inch drives, or eight 2.5-inch drives.
But the most interesting in this device it is not that. Passively, this case can cool a CPU with TDP 150W and a GPU with TDP 250W. Adding two 140mm fans raises the bar to 250W and 320W respectively.
Its frame is made of steel, copper and aluminum parts up to 6 mm thick, and the decorative panels are made of glass and aluminum. The key part of the construction is a pair of aluminum radiators weighing 3 kg with ten copper heat pipes 6 mm in diameter each.
The I/O panel includes headphone and microphone connectors, two USB 2.0 connectors, two USB 3.2 Gen1 connectors and one USB-C connector.
Pre-order acceptance will begin on October 2020, but the price is still unknown, and the company promises to start shipping cases in the first quarter of 2021.
