Rumor has it that Apple Arcade is developing full-fledged top games. And they’re going to need powerful hardware. Last years Apple continues to expand its services, making more and more profit from this direction. At the same time, the emphasis is on products that are already old enough and new.
Last year we received the game service Apple Arcade, which stands out primarily for its exclusives, and often quite unusual and high quality. At the moment, the gaming industry is a multi-billion dollar business, which is actively growing in the era of pandemic. And Apple, of course, is unlikely to stop at Arcade in the form in which the service exists now.
There are rumors on the web that the company wants its gaming service to have games of a completely different order, comparable with the top projects for consoles and PCs. The example is Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and such a benchmark can only be greeted. The source argues that Arcade games are now pouring in huge amounts of money that are being spent on developing new projects.
Interestingly, this is supposed to have some consequences in the form of minimum system requirements. In particular, some games will allegedly require at least SoC Apple A13 Bionic, which is a very productive platform. On the one hand, it will cut off a huge number of users of older Apple devices, and on the other hand, probably such requirements are due to the very impressive for its segment graphics and development of the game world.
So far it’s just a rumor, and there’s nothing to say about its source, but it should be noted that earlier there were other rumors indicating that Apple is preparing a very high-performance set-top box based on the SoC Apple A12X/A12Z, and now it is reported that Apple has already allegedly sent game developers for Arcade new Apple TV, based on some platform, which the source calls the A14X-Performance-Simulating.
In any case, the information is not only interesting, but also quite logical, because by releasing full-fledged top games, Apple will not only interest more hardcore gamers, but will also force some users to update their devices.
