Feral Interactive has announced the release of a real-time strategy for iPhone smartphones – Company of Heroes. The original game, developed by Relic Entertainment, was released on PC back in 2006 and became the first project using the Games for Windows label. Feral Interactive in February 2020 released a version of the game for the iPad, now it’s time for the iPhone.
Feral Interactive claims that the developers have significantly optimized the game for the iPhone by adding the same control function as the iPad version of Relic Entertainment, as well as other features. This allows players to plan their actions in real time, quickly change tactics and adapt to constantly changing conditions.
I played Company of Heroes on my old iPad Pro for review, and on my iPhone 11 everything works faster. The game runs at 60 frames per second with no power save mode enabled and loads much faster than on the iPad Pro. I was a little concerned about the interface, but there are some new control settings that really help. (TouchArcade editor)
Company of Heroes is officially supported on all iPhones starting with iPhone 6S. The game is offered at a price of 15 dollars/euro. Those who have previously purchased it for the iPad can install the iPhone version for free.
