Not so long ago, the government of India banned PUBG Mobile and another 117 Chinese applications because of allegations of improper handling of user data. Then PUBG Corporation published an official statement, which states that Tencent will no longer be the publisher of the popular game PUBG Mobile in India, and PUBG Corporation will try to get approval from the Government of India to return the game in Google Play and the App Store.
Despite the blocking of the game and all the difficulties, it is worth praise the developers for their ingenuity, as it seems that now they have made the right bet. Sources say Blue Hole Studio is in talks with Indian telecommunications company Reliance Jio, which will be the new publisher of the game.
Negotiations began after the game was removed from Google Play and the App Store and are still in the initial stages. Sources familiar with what is happening confirm that both parties are studying different aspects of the deal.
It is also reported that the return of the game in Google Play and the App Store is only a matter of time, as the Indian government is likely to approve the publishing rights to the local telecommunications company.
