Last week, Microsoft officially introduced the Xbox Series S console, which is a “budget version” of the Xbox Series X and cannot play games in 4K resolution. Now, another difference between the Xbox Series S and the Xbox Series X has been revealed.
Only the older console will be able to broadcast and record games in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. The Xbox Series S’s ability to stream and record gameplay is not yet known. In comparison, the Xbox One X can record games in 4K resolution at 30 frames per second.
It should be added that live broadcasting at 4K resolution is only possible via YouTube, and the current upper limit for Twitch service is 1920 x 1080 pixels at 60 frames per second.
