Nikon has extended its S-Line line of SLR lenses for Nikon Z mirrorless cameras. An ultra-wide full-frame Nikkor Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S is now available for pre-order. According to the manufacturer, this is the lightest and shortest lens in its class. It is designed for landscape photography and astrophotography.
The advantages of this lens include effective coma correction, which allows stars to be portrayed as points of correct shape not only in the center of the frame, but also on the periphery. It should also be noted the internal focus and silent aperture ring, protection of dust and moisture, and the possibility of installing threaded filters with a complete hood.
By the way, the manufacturer promised that by the time the lens will be available Neutral Color NC Filter 112mm and Circular Polarizing Filter II 112mm. As an alternative, it is possible to install the filter in the slot at the back of the lens.
