Leica introduced the new V-Lux 5 Explorer Kit. It includes a V-Lux 5 digital camera, a Billingham Hadley blue cloth photo bag with brown leather inserts, and a COOPH woven COOPH Rope Strap in Glowing Red. The set costs $1,495, which is $100 more than a V-Lux 5 camera, but 200 less than the total cost of the items included if you buy them individually.
Recall that the V-Lux 5 camera uses a 1 inch CMOS optical image sensor with a resolution of 20 megapixels. It works in conjunction with the Leica DC Vario-Elmarit 9.1-146 mm f/2.8-4 ASPH lens, which, taking into account the cropping factor, covers the ESP range of 25-400 mm.
The camera is equipped with an OLED electronic viewfinder with a resolution of 2.36 million dots with 0.74x magnification, a three-inch movable touch screen display with a resolution of 1.24 million dots, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and USB interfaces. It supports 12 fps continuous shooting and video shooting. At 4K resolution, the frame rate reaches 30 fps, and at Full HD resolution, it reaches 60 fps.
You can take about 360 pictures without recharging the battery. At dimensions 136.7 x 97.2 x 131.5 mm the camera weighs 812 g. In fact, this is a version of the Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 II, offered under the Leica brand name and compatible with the Leica FOTOS 2.0 app.
Pre-orders for the Leica V-Lux 5 Explorer Kit have already started to be accepted.
