Panasonic is preparing to release DC-BGH1 camera MFT system. The source, who repeatedly published information of this kind, confirmed later, cited on its Twitter page preliminary specifications of the camera.
The camera is said to be based on a 10.28 megapixel image sensor with an active area of 19.0 x 13.0 mm. The dynamic range is stated to be equal to 13 exposure steps (when using V-Log L profile). The camera will allow shooting 4K video at 60 fps. Recording on removable media will be possible with 10-bit representation and 4:2:0 sub-sampling with H.265/HEVC compression. HDMI output will be able to output 4:2:2 sub-sampled video in RAW format.
SD memory cards will be used as removable media (the camera will be equipped with two slots). The manufacturer is also considering the possibility of streaming 4K video using a Gigabit Ethernet port, which will be equipped with the camera.
The port can be used for power (PoE +). The list of camera interfaces also includes a USB 3.2 Gen1 port, which is connected to the USB-C, 3G-SDI, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, audio input and output (3.5 mm) and a connector for remote control. The camera will be powered by a battery of 11,800 mAh. With dimensions of 93 x 93 x 78 mm the device will weigh 545 g. Its price is still unknown.
